Dr. Sabariah Jemali has worked with Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) for over 20 years with the Faculty of Business Management holding various positions including Coordinator for Transport Center, Head of Department for Operations Management and Transport and Logistics Programs and as Deputy Director for Research and International Linkage with Malaysia Institute for Transport (MITRANS), the University’s Centre of Excellence in transport and logistics. She has been very involved with conducting qualitative research, training and consultancies for relevant Ministries, government agencies and private sectors in public passenger transport policies, decision making process and small-medium size freight entrepreneurs. Her current research effort is on human capital development and framework in the supply chain industry with a focus on training needs for halal logistics.
Dr. Jemali received her PhD in Transport Policy and MSc in Transport Planning and Engineering from the Institute for Transport Studies (ITS), Leeds University in the UK after completing the professional Chartered Institute of Transport (UK) qualification. She is also members to the Road Engineering Association of Malaysia (REAM), Road Engineering Association of Asia and Australasia (REAAA) and the Vice-President (2010-2012) for the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, Malaysia (CILTM).
