Mr. Sang Jo Kim’s current research deals with optimal dynamic decisions on inventory levels and prices simultaneously over a set of multiple products/services that are economically complementary or substitutable to one another, which belongs to the interface between operations management and marketing. He also has several years of industry experience as a business consultant in supply chain innovation. Working for i2 Technologies (now JDA Software Group) and IBM Global Business Services, he participated in many consulting projects for globally leading companies in various industries such as consumer electronics, automotive, steel, shipping and food/drink. His consulting functions include sales and operations planning, production planning and scheduling, shipping scheduling, inventory optimization as well as general process analysis and design.
He is completing his PhD study at MIT-Zaragoza International Logistics Program and holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in industrial engineering from Seoul National University, South Korea.
