MIT SCALE Latin America envisions a commitment to leading innovative research and educational initiatives that are relevant for the region. For over ten years, the MIT Graduate Certificate in Logistics and Supply Chain Management (GCLOG) program has been educating outstanding graduate students from all over Latin America in state-of-the-art topics in logistics and supply chain management. The main purpose of the program is to educate leaders who can apply this knowledge for the betterment of Latin America, emerging markets and the world.

MIT SCALE Latin America Scholarship

As part of this vision, the GCLOG program presents the MIT SCALE Latin America Scholarship, a merit-based full-tuition waiver awarded each year to an outstanding student admitted to the GCLOG Program. The recipient of this scholarship will also serve as president of their GCLOG class, and will be part of the GCLOG team that supports academic activities of the program.

Criteria

  • Potential: High potential of leadership and social entrepreneurial outlook.
  • Mission: Deep intentions to lead impactful projects and education in her/his home country and in Latin America.
  • Academic Performance: Proven academic success.
  • Financial Need: Difficulties covering tuition fee of the program.
  • Commitment to return to change home community for at least 2 years


Deadline
All applicants interested in this scholarship must submit their application before November 15, 2020.


Application Review Process

  • All GCLOG applicants of the first round of applications will be considered for the MIT SCALE Latin America Scholarship.
  • A committee will review the applicants based on the criteria (i.e., potential, mission, academic performance, and financial need, etc.) and will select the top 3 applications.
  • The candidates will be then requested to have three interviews with lectures/researchers from the MIT Center for Transportation and Logistics for a final assessment.
  • The winner will be announced in January 2021. 
  • The admissions committee might opt to declare void the applications for this scholarship if candidates do not meet all requirements, and split the scholarship to benefit a larger number of applicants.
